I'm not hosting this one, but am doing this for a friend. And I'm writing this myself.
Murder in Small Town X is a game where ten players are sent to a small, dystopian town where a raving lunatic psycho murderer-zombie (serial killer) is on the loose. The killer will continue to kill people as the players begin to unravel the truth about many events in the town, and it is ultimately the players' job to figure out who the killer is by eliminating suspects and piecing together the mysteries in town.
Each week, two players will be sent out to play the Killer's Game. One will be chosen by the Lifeguard (team leader), and the other will be determined by someone who scores the lowest on a quiz about the town and recent events. This is different than the show in order to prevent pre-game alliances. Each of these two players will pick a location. At one location, a clue awaits. At the other, Death by means of the killer. The player killed each week will leave behind a will, naming the Lifeguard for the next week. This goes away at the final three.
MiSTX is an EXTREMELY intense game that requires a LOT of dedication. Rounds each last a week, in which players will be able to question the townspeople about the goings-on and partake in investigations which will dig up dirt on the suspects, the killer, and the town in general. There are many storylines occurring at the same time and it is the player's responsibility to keep track of as much as possible.
This is one of the most wonderful series I have ever played in, as this is the host's fourth edition of the game. He has by all means become a master of crafting games, but because of this, they're extremely complicated. Do NOT express interest if you don't think you can do it. Only do it if you have enough time.
