This is just an update just incase I end up losing what I have so far. This is NOT my final draft, its no where near done yet.
It was the end of senior year and everyone was worried about finding prom dates. All of the guys were nervous to ask the girls because they didn’t want to get rejected, while all of the girls were nervous because they wanted the right guy to ask them, not someone who they hate and find disgusting. In particular, there were three girls who stood out above the rest and every guy dreamed of taking one of these girls to the prom. Their names were Kim, Jenna and Colleen and they were the superstars of the senior class. Of course, every group of girls has their own little drama going on and in this case, the drama was all in the form of a girl named Darrah. Darrah thought that everyone in the school liked her and wanted to be her, when in reality, everyone despised her and wanted nothing to do with her. So, when it came time to picking prom dates, Darrah expected to be bombarded with many different guys asking her to go with them.
There were these three guys who were all pretty close friends and they all were interested in going with Kim, Jenna or Colleen. The guys’ names were Brett, Austin and Russell and none of them had really talked to any of the girls much before, so they were all worried that they would get rejected and embarrassed. However, the girls all secretly wanted to be asked by one of these three guys and they really had no preference as to which one. And of course, Darrah thought that one of those three guys would ask her as well. She wanted to go with them just as bad as Kim, Jenna and Colleen did so when she saw them, she got very excited.
Brett was walking down the hall to go to his locker when he saw Darrah coming the other way. “Oh no, not this bitch,” he said under his breath so that she wouldn’t hear.
“Hey Brett!” said Darrah in excitement.
“Oh, hey Darrah. How are you?” asked Brett as he tried to act like he cared at least somewhat.
“I’m good, just nervous about the prom. I still haven’t been asked and I feel like I might not get asked at all!” she said as she was twirling her hair like she was nervous about his response. She wasn’t really nervous about not being asked yet, because she knew someone would ask her eventually. She wanted to bring up the topic of prom to Brett so maybe he would think to ask her and that was the only way she could think of bringing it up.
Brett wasn’t really sure what to say to that and he really wanted to make it seemed like he cared. “I’m sorry Darrah, I’m sure someone will definitely ask you soon!”
“Anyone you think in particular?” Darrah asked him as she started rubbing her hands along his enormous abs.
“Well, um, see I….I really have to get going,” said Brett as he took Darrah’s hands off of him and scurried down the hallway.
“He’s just playing hard to get,” Darrah thinks to herself as she continues about what she was doing before.
Meanwhile in class, Brett decided to sit behind Kim that day because he was ready to ask her to prom and he told himself that he was going to do it before the class was over. It was math class and Brett hated math so he didn’t mind taking up his class time by asking her. Austin and Russell were also in this class and they kept trying to give Brett pointers on how he was going to go about asking.
“Slip her a note,” Austin whispers to Brett from across the room.
“That’s so lame, just ask her already!” Russell shouts as the whole class hears him. Everyone looks at Russell and his face becomes more and more red. Finally, while he has everyone’s attention, he makes his move. “Colleen, will you go to prom with me?”
Colleen, who was sitting two rows over from Russell, looked shocked as she was not expecting that to happen. “Yes I will!”
“Awwwww!” coming from the rest of the class as they all just watched Russell and Colleen become a couple for the prom.
Brett’s stomach was getting very upset. As the class kept getting closer to being over, he got more and more nervous because he knew there would be no other chance to ask her. So he tapped Kim on the shoulder and she turned around.
