Continuing the Redemption Island twist after Merge is pretty interesting... didnt expect that! sucks for Matt, but he kind of deserves it, that blabber mouth lol Matt was an idiot to tell Rob EVERYTHING. He should have just said, "Mike approached me about aligning with them, I thought about it, but I trust you guys more. I'm with ya all the way. Mike also said they have an Idol." What would Rob say to that? He'd trust Matt back, knowing that Matt is someone who considers options but makes the best choice. Matt just let his mouth run... and even got Andrea to distrust him. I also wasn't sure if they'd keep up Redemption. Honestly, I'm not sure if I like it, because I hardly know a few of the people left because they spend so much airtime showing RI. I know Matt better than many of the active players... RI sort of takes the focus off of a few things that make Survivor so good. It's a great twist, but it's starting to get tiresome. But hey... another run for Matt could be epic, or he could be jury-bound. Best part of this season is still Russell crying like a baby. |

completely agreed... and then the "this will be my last time playing"... thats poor sportsmanship.. you are out 2nd or 3rd and then you quit of humiliation.. thats sad. But its good he's gone... like he wouldve gotten away with his antics third time round.
RI post-merge is def risky but interesting... i agree that it does take away from a lot of the screen time of the others... but i feel like they wouldnt even be that interesting if we did learn more about them. The Zap5 are annoying as hell... and nat and ash are also impossible to watch.. the interesting characters have already been booted except for rob, phillip, and andrea

Cheering for: Natalie (<3 her, so amazing), Rob (would be nice to see him win), Phillip (I wanna see him the FTC), Grant (didn't like him at first but he actually is an okay dude).
Cheering against: probably just Julie and Steve.

Yeah... Zapatera just sucks. The only things they had going for them is that they got rid of Russell... and that Stephanie was fun. She was this feisty ball of energy, which that tribe sorely needed.
However, if they had more time to show the cast... perhaps they would be more interesting. Redemption Island is taking away from that, and since it's coming back it's going to be even more focus on Matt.
I'm rooting for Rob and Andrea at this point. Rob is as awesome as always, and Andrea is a smart, strategic thinker who reminds me of Amanda in some ways. Plus, Andrea's from near where I live too.
