ROUND THIRTEEN: IT'S IN THE BANK
Come on in, guys! Individual immunity again up for grabs!
Today's challenge is our usual test of Survivor trivia. This one's from Malaysia, as it went over the best and didn't produce a four-way tie like Tonga's did. It was probably our best trivia challenge, since it involves some strategy - this is somewhat based on the game show The Weakest Link if you guys remember that.
We have 30 questions, and will be giving them to you in RANDOM order. The more you get right in a row, the more points you get:
1st question - 1 point
2nd question - 2 points
3rd question - 4 points
4th question - 8 points
5th question - 15 points
6th question - 25 points
7th question - 40 points
8th question - 60 points
9th question - 80 points
10th question - 100 points
2nd question - 2 points
3rd question - 4 points
4th question - 8 points
5th question - 15 points
6th question - 25 points
7th question - 40 points
8th question - 60 points
9th question - 80 points
10th question - 100 points
Only your first answer counts, and you will have 30 seconds to answer. Spelling does not matter, although we have to be able to tell who or what you're talking about. So if the answer is "Kelly Czarnecki" and you say "Kelly C," that's fine. I know some last names are hard to spell. But merely saying "Kelly" will not count, given the abundance of Kellys over the course of Survivor history.
At any point during those 30 seconds, you may BANK. Yes, you may bank after a question has been asked, but keep in mind that once you bank, those points will be saved and you have to start a new chain from the beginning. If you fail to bank, your points are lost if you do not get the question right. If you get 10 questions right in a row (or answer the final question), you will automatically bank the points you have accumulated. Therefore, the maximum score from the entire challenge is 300. I highly doubt that anyone will get that many, since we're making the questions even harder this time.
Please contact Erik - or Amanda if she can get on - to initiate the quiz. We will try to be on AIM as much as possible. We will give you 24 hours to do it, but will gladly grant an extension if 2 or more of you have not yet done the challenge.
Whoever has the most points banked after all 30 questions wins immunity and is safe from Tribal Council. One of the losers will be voted out.
There is also a twist here. Jury members, please nominate one of your own to participate in this challenge. If this person wins the challenge, they win immunity, and everyone at TC is vulnerable. The jury will also be able to collectively cast a vote to vote someone out. This vote cannot be changed, doubled, nullified, or any of that.
